Chains and Charms

I got my stuff from ELETSHOP! Okay, I actually got them a few days ago, but I only managed to blog about it now. Boo me.

I was happy scrolling through the stuff on Irish's (that's the shop's name's owner) site because all of the charms were really cute. Too bad, though, some of the ones I liked were sold out and I was a bit low on cash when I decided to purchase some of her stuff. But I'm extremely happy with what I got and just how fast the whole transaction was.

I actually had a certain level of exhilaration when the guard handed me the package when I was about to enter the condominium around a day or two after I paid for everything. It was my first time to buy stuff online. Yes, I'm an online shopping noob.

So, yeah, anyway, new charms, chains, and wire to add to my crafting collection. If I had all the time right now, I'd be DIY-ing. I actually managed to make a few things but I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and make jewelry.

I've got a cabinet's cost estimate and airport design waiting for me so I guess the DIY therapy should wait.

What do you lovelies suggest I should make? Hit me up! I'm willing to experiment with anything. :)

DIY: Earrings

Hell weeks are finally over! And because of that go through therapy to relax myself. One of my favorite therapies is crafting. I have been an arts and crafts lover for as long as I can remember and I just recently took on wire crafting. I was ecstatic the time I bought my first craft pliers. I think this happens to everyone who wants to try something new out of passion. I have a lot of chains and my sister just recently bought me supplies for earrings so I decided to use what she bought and experiment. Mom found the earrings I made cute. Hooray for my first fan. :))

I do this for the fun and relaxation I get out of it. I do this out of the love for the craft. I wanna do more, really. I wanna practice the art of wire crafting. I'll keep practicing and will post as soon as I have more DIY stuff made. Anyway, have a nice day!

First Day High

First day of classes and I didn't know what to wear. The heat was pretty oppressive and I didn't want to go to my classes all drenched in sweat. Come to think of it, I didn't have any classes except for Math 53 (or should I say Math 159). I spent the day just lazing around, playing card games with the boys and chilling at Papu's with the boys before heading home. Pretty chill day.

Monday was our "last day of summer." Some of my friends spent it bumming out 'cause we won't get that privelege once the professors start bombarding us with papers, exams, and plates. How did I spend mine? I got creative and started crafting. I finally bought wire, a tool set, and crafting pliers. I was spazzing inwardly and just wanted to test my idle crafting skills. I managed to make a few stuff, around five rings and one necklace. I don't have a photo of the necklace but I'll show it soon. I used one of the rings on my first day in school. What do you think? :)

The first day of classes wasn't very eventful, class-wise. It is never eventful, actually. Professors are too lazy to hold classes, the students aren't prepped for lectures, and we all just really wanna sit and hang out with friends or orgmates. The first day of classes in UP is used to make the summer memories and enrolment stress roll off our shoulders. Real work starts the week after. I'm in my fourth year in college, I'm used to this kind of set-up.

Enhancing Creativity

I wanna start getting serious in making my own jewelry again. I miss making crafts. After working in the Thingys Crew, I have grown fond of handmade quirks.

My sister wants me to design and create a black tulle headband for her, which she will be using on the 5th of March for a debut she's planning to attend. It's going to be in Amber UltraLounge at The Fort. We got the idea from Forever21 yesterday, while we were shopping. We spotted a bunch of tulle headbands which looked more or less like this:

Basically, if I plan to push through with this project for the dearest fashionista of a sister who's seen me work on various crafts before, I'll be needing these materials (Velvet trim optional):

Oh, I did mention that we went shopping, right? Well, of course, I did not leave Forever 21 empty-handed. I bought a basic white v-neck (since I lost the one I got from the a local department store) and a dress which went on sale (50% off!!!). And out of sudden obsession, I bought bangles.

Shopping is pure bliss. :)

We had to go to mass after shopping, though, so I had to look decent and in my "Sunday Best" even if it was still a Saturday.
